Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Linden Hill is one of the most elegant retreat destinations in Minnesota. It is situated on nine well-groomed acres overlooking the Mississippi River and is walking distance from historic downtown Little Falls, Minn.

Built in 1898, the two neighboring homes of the Weyerhaeuser (green mansion) and Musser (white mansion) families now provide the perfect historical setting for educational experiences, lodging, hospitality and special occasion events. Today, Linden Hill Historical Event Center and Educational Facility is a non-profit managed by The Friends of Linden Hill, Inc. The mansions (which are more like “living museums” complete with actual time-period furnishings), the grounds, pavilion and adjacent structures are available for touring and use throughout the year. Please contact us for more information.

The Linden Hill Historical Event Center guarantees a memorable stay, in the Musser Mansion only, any time of year. All of our heirloom-filled rooms are complete with awe-inspiring views, ranging from the Mississippi River, private grounds filled with gardens, charming buildings and historic spaces. Whether you are just touring or are here for an overnight wedding or quilting weekend, your time spent at our “living museum,” known as Linden Hill, will not be forgotten.

The Musser Mansion and accompanying buildings and grounds provide an ideal setting for an array of events including:

The Friends of Linden Hill, Inc. was created in 2007 to preserve and protect the living and structured history and spirit of the Musser and Weyerhaeuser homes; and to showcase the houses and their history now and for the future.

Funds raised are used to help educate, preserve and restore these historic homes and their heritage for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Funds are raised via memberships, contributions, fundraising events and rental of the homes for group events. The income generated frees-up volunteer and staff time as well as allowing financial resources to be used for mission-related programs.

Linden Hill is owned by the City of Little Falls and governed by a group of dedicated volunteers. The Historical Event Center is a form of social entrepreneurship that allows the group (Friends of Linden Hill) and other volunteers to preserve and maintain two historic homes and the multiple buildings on-site.

Your patronage is our support. You can also help by purchasing a Friends of Linden Hill Membership.
